Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Europe on iOS: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in Europe exhibited varied performance trends based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 544K in mid-January. Active users showed a steady increase, culminating in approximately 121.7M by the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic demonstrated consistent growth in downloads, starting at 183K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching around 170K by the end. Active users mirrored this trend, increasing to about 17.2M in the last week of March.

Google Earth experienced a moderate level of activity, with weekly downloads hovering around 85K to 100K. Active user numbers fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 1.9M.

Yandex Maps & Navigator saw a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at $4.1K in late February. Downloads showed a steady pattern, with a notable rise in late March to 78K, while active users increased to around 11.9M.

Polarsteps Travel showed a stable trend in downloads, peaking at 64K in early January. Active users displayed a modest increase, reaching about 978K by the end of the quarter.
